He married Norma (Rayl) and they raised six children.

He later followed his heart’s desire to travel and see God’s beauty in nearly every state.

He was a gifted artist, thoroughly loved reading, was a stranger to no one and truly made friends everywhere he went.

Now, he is no longer bound to this world and is most certainly enjoying the vastness and beauty of Heaven.

We were blessed to have him for 78 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Anthony J. (Cathy) Otting of Lehigh, Teresa (Marc) Taylor of Fort Myers, Kenneth Parker of Fort Myers, Brenda (Russell) Phelps of Lehigh and Ervin L. Parker II of North Fort Myers; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Ralph “Jim” (Josephine) Otting of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews, who will all miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheryl (Parker) Brewer; parents; and four siblings.

A celebration of life memorial service was held Monday, July 7, 2014, in the chapel at the Anderson-Patterson Cremation and Funeral Services.
